What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Acupuncture practitioners believe that the human body has more than 2000 acupuncture points, connected via pathways or meridians. An energy flow, 'Qi', flows freely through the body via these pathways, and is responsible for our overall health. However, disruption of the energy flow can cause disease and illness. By applying hair-thin needles at specific points, acupuncture can clear the blockages and support the smooth flow of ‘Qi’, restoring the balance of the body. In essence, acupuncture aims to stimulate our natural healing abilities, promoting physical and emotional well-being.

Acupuncture returns the body to its
natural state of balance and harmony.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Acupuncture is generally considered safe for most of people when performed by an experienced, well-trained practitioner using sterile needles. I am from a solid medical background and have completed comprehensive national board examinations and necessary trainings for acupuncture and TCM. I have been a qualified Acupuncturist and TCM practitioner since registration for the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia begun in 2012. As required by law, only pre-sterilized, disposable, single-use needles are used in my practice to ensure your complete health safety.
